Original educational game promotes understanding and exploration of geometric concepts through play.
GeoCircle: The Game of Angles is an original educational and strategic board game designed to transform the learning of plane geometry into an interactive, hands-on, and engaging experience. Created by inventor Doumbia Amara (Côte d'Ivoire – Africa), this innovative project combines mathematics, strategy, logical thinking, and physical manipulation to help players discover and understand fundamental geometric concepts through play. Unlike traditional approaches where geometry is mainly presented through theoretical explanations and static drawings, GeoCircle allows players to actively construct, observe, manipulate, protect, and analyze geometric figures. Through a dynamic circular playing environment, participants progressively create geometric angles using physical components representing circles, vertices, line segments, and different categories of angles (acute, right, and obtuse angles). The game is designed as an educational tool that promotes learning through experimentation and discovery. By interacting with the game elements, players develop a deeper understanding of geometric relationships while strengthening essential cognitive skills such as logical reasoning, spatial perception, anticipation, problem-solving, strategic planning, and decision-making. GeoCircle offers a unique combination of: Mathematical education, through the practical exploration of plane geometry and angle classification; Experiential learning, by allowing players to physically build and manipulate geometric structures; Strategic thinking, through movement, construction, protection, and validation mechanics; Cognitive development, by encouraging observation, analysis, and long-term planning. The game is intended for families, schools, mathematics teachers, educational organizations, board game clubs, science and cultural institutions, and anyone interested in innovative learning methods. It provides educators with a complementary resource capable of making abstract mathematical concepts more accessible, visual, and meaningful. Beyond entertainment, GeoCircle: The Game of Angles represents a vision of educational innovation where games become powerful tools for knowledge transmission. It demonstrates how board games can create bridges between mathematics, creativity, experimentation, and strategic intelligence. This document presents the official concept portfolio of the project, including its identity, educational value, gameplay principles, innovations, development potential, and opportunities for future collaboration.
