This case highlights the extremely rare occurrence of radiation-induced undifferentiated pleomorphic sarcoma in the thyroid as a long-term complication of chemoradiation for esophageal cancer.
Alerts clinicians to rare late thyroid sarcoma after esophageal chemoradiation; leaves open optimal management for unresectable cases.
We present a rare case of Radiation-induced sarcoma in the thyroid, in a 53-year-old female, seven years after receiving chemoradiation for SCC esophagus.
