A brief description is given of the mass spectroscopic methods in current use for the determination of atomic masses. The agreement between atomic masses so-derived and those obtained by studying the energy balance in nuclear reactions is also lightly touched upon, with particular reference to the mass of C/sup 12/. Finally, a table is given of the atomic mass differences which have been obtained table supepplements (and occasionally amends) a similar table which appeared in the October, 1954, issue of this Journal.
