Hypothesis-generating for bradykinin-NO-KCa medullary perfusion in animals; leaves open translation to human renal hemodynamics.
Bradykinin selectively increases perfusion of the renal medulla, especially the inner layer, via activation of the NO system and calcium-dependent K+ channels, while its cortical vasodilatation effect is only transient.
