We develop a microscopic theory for dynamics of molecular liquids that is based on the interaction-site model for polyatomic fluids, the projection-operator formalism of Zwanzig and Mori, and the mode-coupling theory. Closed nonlinear equations are derived for a self-consistent treatment of density propagation in a classical polyatomic liquid, which enable one to calculate dynamic structure factors provided the equilibrium structure functions of liquids are known.
