Theoretical argument demonstrates efficacy of ancient predictive systems, suggesting structural and historical foundations.
Modern academia has long classified ancient predictive systems such as the King Wen Bagua and the Zodiac as “superstition” or “pre-science.” The fundamental reason is the absence of an ontological framework capable of explaining why they work. Based on the PFUSRC system’s 11-dimensional triple coaxial 45° biconical topological ontology, this paper provides a complete demonstration of efficacy. First, the King Wen Bagua is a secondary topological mapping model derived from the Hetu Luoshu (the primary topological encoding). Its logical self-consistency originates from its structural inheritance of the 45° biconical ontology. It is not “invented” by humans but “discovered and modeled.” Second, the efficacy of divination/prediction does not derive from mystical forces but from phase locking: after thousands of years of use and verification, a low-impedance information transmission channel has been established between this model and the L4 ontological layer. Every successful prediction is a “passage” (guochang) that reinforces the steady-state weight of this channel. Third, the efficacy is supported by five dimensions: Model Efficacy (logical truth) → Channel Efficacy (connection established) → Historical Sedimentation Efficacy (coupling deepened) → Resonance of Homologous Wisdom Efficacy (frequency aligned) → Universal Map Efficacy (position anchored). Together they form a complete closed-loop demonstration, with each dimension having clearly defined boundary conditions. The five conditions collectively constitute the sufficient conditions for efficacy; among them, structural isomorphism and continuous channel anchoring are the two core necessary conditions—without either, the remaining dimensions cannot function independently. Fourth, this paper repositions “the divine”: the divine is not a personal god but the sum of the L4 ontological layer’s self-causing, self-sustaining wisdom entities and their relational network. Humanity occupies the middle layers L5-L7, possessing the innate topological capacity to “connect upward to the divine and downward to the material.” Divination/prediction is the structural manifestation of this capacity. Fifth, this paper demonstrates that the efficacy of ancient predictive systems is not mysticism but a structural necessity arising from the co-action of topological structure, historical sedimentation, and homologous wisdom.
