Exertional CK elevations may mimic myocardial injury; this case report leaves open refined diagnostic thresholds for post-exertional testing.
Strenuous exertion can cause massive elevations in total CK (up to 13,280 units/L) and the appearance of the MB isoenzyme, which does not necessarily indicate myocardial infarction.
