Metastatic adrenocortical carcinoma (ACC) patients who progressed after mitotane plus one or two chemotherapy lines (n=9 evaluable out of 25 planned). Also included in vitro study on NCI-H295R cells.

Intervention
i.v. paclitaxel (60 mg/m2 every week) and oral sorafenib (400 mg twice a day) till progression

Outcome
Progression-free survival rate after 4 monthssurrogate

Sorafenib plus weekly paclitaxel is an inactive salvage treatment in patients with advanced adrenocortical carcinoma and should not be recommended.
