Why the study?
In HFrEF, cardiac contractility modulation improves symptoms and reduces hospitalizations, but conclusive evidence regarding the reduction of arrhythmic events is lacking.
Does cardiac contractility modulation improve symptoms and reduce ventricular arrhythmias in a patient with HFrEF and high arrhythmic burden?

This case report suggests that cardiac contractility modulation may reduce ventricular arrhythmias in addition to improving symptoms in HFrEF patients.
In heart failure with reduced ejection fraction (HFrEF), cardiac contractility modulation (CCM) improves symptoms and reduces hospitalizations, but there is still no conclusive evidence regarding the reduction of arrhythmic events. We present a HFrEF patient with high arrhythmic burden, undergoing CCM implantation with improvement in symptoms and ventricular arrhythmias.
