Platelet rich plasma is an autologous concentration of eight growth factors PDGF -AA, PDGF -BB ,PDGF -AB,Transforming growth factor β 1 and β2 ,vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) ,epidermal growth factor (EGF) ,and insulin like growth factor .Nowadays PRP is widely used in all the fields of dentistry .This article explains the various potential clinical applications .PRP is prepared from the patient's own blood and there is a less risk of transmission of diseases.
