The authors report measurements of resistance as a function of magnetic field and temperature in quasi-two-dimensional Mg films condensed at room temperature. The anomalous contributions due to weak localisation and interaction effects have been separated and consistency was found between the temperature and magnetic-field dependence of the resistance. The spin-orbit scattering time tau so depends on the film structure and preparation conditions, the inelastic lifetime tau i (T) is compared with the values predicted by the theoretical models for the disorder-enhanced electron-electron theoretical scattering.
