This study focuses on household behavior of vehicle use and transactions, and proposes a Copula-base Multivariate Survival model in order to capture the interdependence among these two behaviors. By using the data set collected in Chugoku region, proposed model is estimated. The estimated model showed that the suggested model was effective in terms of model performance and applicability. The estimated copula parameters showed that the vehicle use and the duration of vehicle replacement were significantly correlated. The simulation analyses in fuel price demonstrated that the proposed model could appropriately capture the household vehicle ownership behavior, for example, an increase in fuel price would cause both the decrease of durations in vehicle ownership and annual traveling distance.
