By choosing aluminum tungstate, Al 2 ( WO 4 ) 3 , from the consideration of the structure which reduces the interaction between the framework and the mobile ionic species of Al 3 + as much as possible, ionic conduction of trivalent Al 3 + in solids has been directly and macroscopically demonstrated.
