What is the aetiology and control of cardiac arrhythmias associated with cyclopropane anesthesia?
Cyclopropane anesthesia is associated with a high incidence of cardiac arrhythmias, which is a serious disadvantage especially in patients with myocardial disease.

Supports caution with cyclopropane in myocardial disease; leaves open arrhythmia mechanisms and control.
Much attention has recently been focused on the aetiology and control of the cardiac arrhythmias associated with cyclopropane anesthesia. This gas possesses several advantages over the other anesthetics in general use, being non-irritant, giving rapid induction, excellent relaxation, quiet respiration and speedy recovery of consciousness. The high incidence of cardiac arrhythmias during cyclopropane antsthesia remains a very serious disadvantage, particularly for patients with myocardial disease.
