The fictitious magnetic monopole model (FMMM) of motors having a complex magnetostatic field excited by both axial (permanent) and radial current is established. A single scalar potential is used to derive a precise solution of the 3-D anisotropic nonlinear rotational field in such a motor. The 3-D FEM (finite-element method) solution is used to modify the conventional '2-D field-circuit' calculation model.>
