A new vanadium(IV) borophosphate, (N2C6H14)2[VO(PO3OH)4(B3O3OH)]0·4H2O, has been synthesized by a hydrothermal reaction. The structure contains isolated [VO(PO3OH)4(B3O3OH)]4- cluster anions connected into double layers through a network of hydrogen bonds.
