Dielectric properties and pyroelectric voltage response to step signals of i.r.-radiation were studied as a function of temperature for hot-pressed ceramics of the base material PbTixZr1-xO3 (x = 0.07) and of Nb2O5; and Fe2O3 modified ceramics. The peak voltage of the voltage transients and the total released charge exhibit pronounced maxima at the F(RLT)-F(RHT) phase transition resulting in two- to nine-fold values for the pyroelectric coefficient, as compared to that at room temperature.
