Intervention evaluation demonstrates enhanced social and digital engagement among student-athletes, indicating a replicable strategy to foster campus belonging.
The (re)Framing Identity, Belonging, Engagement, and Relationships intervention, also referred to as, (re)FIBER, demonstrates how a brief, theory-informed program can meaningfully influence student-athletes’ social and digital engagement. By centering identity, belonging, and authenticity, (re)FIBER provides a replicable model for supporting student-athlete well-being and development. Future research should explore long-term outcomes, adaptations for diverse student groups, and integration into institutional curricula to promote holistic growth and connection across campus contexts.
