Recent Ed.D. Graduates’ Approaches to Higher Education and Student Affairs Practice

Part of a larger action research project aimed at improving the curriculum and instruction in an applied doctoral program (Ed.D.) in higher education, this qualitative study, guided by the Integrative Praxis Model, examined how completing the program shaped recent graduates’ approach to practice in higher education and student affairs. Findings, based on two interviews with 15 program alumni, provide insights into ways to strengthen the preparation of senior-level professionals through applied doctoral education.
