This poster presents the transfer and customisation of the Blue Green Factor (BGF) tool, originally developed by the city of Turku (Southwest Finland), to the Eastern Macedonia and Thrace (EMT) region. It describes the mapping and assessment of existing blue-green spaces using GIS and Earth Observation analytics, the hydrological and hydraulic simulations used to adapt the BGF model to EMT's environmental conditions (including a 500-year return flood period analysis for the Kosynthos and Laspias basins), and the stakeholder engagement process supporting long-term local adoption of the tool.
