However, the literature on multiple myeloma does not emphasize pulmonary infiltrates or recurrent pneumonia except as terminal events.1-6† For this reason it appeared desirable to gather evidence concerning bacterial pneumonia in myelomatosis and to investigate the immunologic response of patients with the disease.MATERIALS AND METHODSThe hospital records of 64 patients with multiple myeloma, observed at the University of Minnesota Hospitals from 1943 to 1953 and at the...Bibliography1.
