The enzyme N-acetyl-p-D-galactosaminidase has been studied in a rat-kidney preparation which was known to have N-acetyl-3-D-glucosaminidase activity (Pugh, Leaback & Walker, 1957). It was not found possible to separate the two activities by various fractionation procedures.
