Why the study?
Primary angiosarcoma of the kidney is an extremely rare and highly aggressive tumor, and its presentation with rupture and disseminated intravascular coagulation is uncommon.
Renal angiosarcoma can present as extensive retroperitoneal hematomas with clinical features of DIC, which may resolve following radical nephrectomy.
May support nephrectomy for DIC resolution in renal angiosarcoma; hypothesis-generating from single case report.
