The various interactions which lead to longitudinal spin one half magnetization relaxation in mobile diamagnetic liquids are discussed. An experimental technique for measuring relaxation rates which is particularly valuable when chemically shifted sets of identical nuclei are to be measured, is described. Results are given and discussed for benzene, toluene, ethyl benzene, methyl benzoate, phenyl acetate and fluorobenzene. Fluorobenzene shows a striking effect of spin‐rotation interactions.
