A cryogenic magnetically insulated B r diode was operated successfully at 2 GW power level by a “LIMAY-I” pulsed power generator (IPP NAGOYA). The dielectric anode materials C n H2n+2, H2O, D2O, and C6H6 were tested as ion sources and it was confirmed that generated ion currents were affected by the molecular structure and the surface temperature of the anode materials.
