Carbon-13 chemical shifts for α-, β-, and γ-cyclodextrins and its peracetates, and also amylose, in several solvents, are reported with full assignment. It was found that the steric effects imposed by cyclic nature of the dextrins on the conformation of the glucopyranose residues in the dextrins are clearly reflected in their spectra.
