Electron-photon angular correlations have been measured for excitation of the 2 1 P state of helium at an incident energy of 80 eV over the range 10-115 degrees of electron scattering angles. Analysis of the data yields values for the alignment and orientation parameters lambda and mod chi mod which are in excellent agreement with the data of Hollywood et al. (1979) but the data for lambda are in marked disagreement with the results of Steph and Golden (1979) at electron scattering angles theta e >70 degrees .
