We report a case of this disease showing the effectiveness of exchange transfusion and plasmapheresis and the failure of fresh frozen plasma infusion.A 28-year-old white woman presented with severe headaches and fatigue. Physical examination showed a pale, lethargic woman with scattered petechiae. There was no lymphadenopathy or hepatosplenomegaly and the results of the remainder of the examination were unremarkable.
