Colchicine effects on myocyte Ca2+ currents are ruptured-patch artifacts; challenges prior microtubule-Ca2+ links and requires intact-cell confirmation.
The previously reported modulation of Ca2+ signaling by microtubule disruption with colchicine is an artifact of the ruptured patch-clamp configuration and does not occur in intact rat ventricular myocytes.
