The spectrum of five-times ionized phosphorus (P VI) is observed in the 400-1 500 Å wavelength range. A total of 76 new lines are measured and classified as transitions between the 2p53s, 3p, 3dand 4fconfigurations. All energy levels in these configurations are determined. Their identification is supported by the results of parametric calculations and by an isoelectronic comparison.
