Why the study?
Ascending aortic elongation can compromise the success and safety of TAVI, but its effect on the overall morphology of the proximal aorta has not been established.
In elderly patients with severe aortic stenosis undergoing TAVI evaluation, elongation of the ascending aorta is significantly correlated with complex anatomical changes including dilatation, rightward tilting, clockwise rotation, and deep wedging, which may impact procedural difficulty.

Ascending aortic elongation correlates with proximal aortic changes in severe AS; leaves open whether these alter TAVI risk or outcomes.
