The general case of backward travelling magnetostatic volume waves propagating within a tangentially magnetised dielectric layered structure is considered. It is theoretically shown that the structure, which consists of an epitaxial YIG film separated from a ground plane by means of a dielectric layer, allows no-reciprocal propagation of magnetostatic volume waves. Supporting experimental evidence is provided.
