It was endeavored to investigate some details of the effects of solvent and temperature on the crystallization behavior of cellulose. It is found, as in the case of synthetic linear polymers, that solvent and temperature do have a specific role in dictating the overall morphology of cellulose. Some hitherto unreported morphological features of cellulose are incorporated in the present paper.
