SUMMARY A brief review of torsion of the spermatic cord as it has occurred in the first year of life serves as an introduction to two reports of cases with onset at or possibly before birth in one and at 21 months in the other. A recapitulation of factors considered to be of ætiologic significance follows, and the diagnosis, prognosis, and treatment are summarised.
