Systems engineering analysis demonstrates constraint-safe energy flexibility verification in mining microgrids, highlighting reliable ledger validation without autonomous switchgear control.
This paper examines energy-production coordination in a mine where ventilation, dewatering, protection, communications, monitoring and process stability impose non-negotiable supply obligations. The Energy Twin reconciles meter data, electrical state, load classification, reserve margin, planned outage, equipment condition and the current operating plan before calculating flexibility. It tests whether a lower-cost scenario would improperly defer a protected load or erode power-quality and resilience requirements. The Twin may evaluate demand, outage and production alternatives, but cannot operate protection, switchgear or load shedding. Its scientific claim concerns the verification of a time-aligned energy ledger and hard-constraint treatment, not the automation of electrical control.
