The upper critical fields of some ternary molybdenum sulphides are found to be extremely high. Extrapolations to low temperatures indicate values above 500 kG for CuMo 3 S 4 , SnMo 5 S 6 , Pb 0.9 Mo 5.1 S 6 and SnAl 0.5 Mo 5 S 6 samples with T c approximately=14 K.
