In this article, we present an analysis of the avalanche growth in electronegative gases, including detachment as well as ionization and attachment processes. The model is used to determine swarm parameters from a pulsed Townsend discharge. As an example, the swarm parameters for SF 6 -CO 2 of electron ionization, attachment and detachment coefficients have been determined. The value of transport coefficient for SF 6 -CO 2 has also been given.
