Theoretical analysis reveals stable traversable wormhole solutions within charged modified gravity, indicating that exotic matter is not required to sustain them.
This article analyzes traversable wormhole configurations within the modified gravitational framework under the charged fluid content. Utilizing the Morris-Thorne metric, we derive the anisotropic field equations for a specific linear gravity model. Our analysis yields three unique shape functions derived from different equations of state with varying parameters, each of them is verified through examination of essential conditions. Furthermore, we explore the null energy conditions across all models to determine whether exotic matter remains a necessary requirement for sustaining these solutions or not. Additionally, we analyze both the active gravitational mass and embedding geometry, demonstrating that the former quantity diminishes asymptotically with increasing distance from the wormhole throat. The study further incorporates three fundamental components: the volume integral quantifier, equilibrium of forces, and the anisotropic pressure. It is finally established that the obtained charged wormhole configurations comply with all essential existence conditions in this geometric-matter coupling theory, achieving their validity without the need for exotic matter.
