Neutron diffraction measurements are reported for D-glycerol at 293 K extending over a Q-value range up to 16 Å-1. Analysis of the molecular conformation yields improved values for the geometrical parameters compared with those obtained in an earlier study and enables a better estimate to be made of the systematic uncertainties arising from the analysis. The intermolecular distribution function shows local correlations due to hydrogenbonding and long-range correlations due to molecular packing effects.
