The properties of Mn-doped Nanocrystals (NCs) with increasing binding symmetry and ZnSe:Mn/ZnSe NCs under different temperatures were investigated to demonstrate the relation between the strength of crystal field and covalency. The position of Mn ions in NCs were accurately controlled at the interface of the core/shell Mn-doped NCs. Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM) images and X-ray Diffraction (XRD) spectra were used to demonstrate the structure of the NCs.
