A study is presented of the conversion of ergosterol and pre‐ergocalciferol by U.V. light of 254 mμ From the experiments certain conclusions are drawn regarding the formation of tachysterol2 from ergosterol and on the quantum‐efficiency of the interconversion of pre‐ergocalciferol and tachysterol2.
