Theoretical framework reveals desire as a pre-cognitive driver shaping nested emotional cycles across human consciousness, suggesting indirect behavioral tracking over self-reports.
This project contains the extended theoretical framework of the Emotional Engineer 1-2, 3-6-9, 3-3-3 — the third paper in a nine-paper series. Papers 1 and 2 established the cycle and grounded it in convergent empirical evidence. This paper goes beneath both. The proposed answer to what drives the cycle is desire: defined not as preference or wish, but as the directional pre-cognitive energy that moves before emotion has been named, that determines what Stage 1 ignites toward, and that therefore shapes everything the cycle produces. The paper examines the three-component architecture, ego, higher consciousness, and emotional state of being, that shapes how desire transmits. It establishes that duality is not a feature of Stage 2 alone but a constant carried within every frequency desire runs. It introduces the concept of nested cycles running simultaneously at multiple scales within a single organism. And it establishes the Wake Principle as the foundational measurement approach: desire cannot be measured by self-report, but it reveals itself through its impact on surrounding systems. Everything in this paper is theoretical. Where it extends beyond what is currently documented, it is explicitly marked as such. It is offered as a direction for investigation, not a conclusion. The series continues in Projects 4 through 9.
