Qualitative analysis demonstrates the value of integrating engineering principles across student curricula, highlighting digital tools and iterative design as catalysts for workforce readiness.
In the era of Industry 4.0, the boundaries between engineering expertise and general education are increasingly blurred. This paper explores the conceptual framework of the "engineering mindset" as an indispensable competency for all students.Building on academic observations gained within a CEEPUS mobility program at CAMPUS 02 University of Applied Sciences in Graz, Austria, this study analyzes how engineering principles, such as the iterative design process and systemic thinking, can be integrated into different levels of education.By analyzing current literature on Education 4.0 and digital competence, this paper argues that cultivating a mindset of growth in the context of technical challenges is vital for sustainable development and employability. The study concludes that digital tools such as Padlet and robotics are not merely teaching aids, but rather catalysts for fostering the practical mindset promoted by universities of applied sciences.
