Descriptive study reveals hands-on robotics and automation training improves technical adaptability in engineering students, highlighting pathways for IT-OT integration.
This paper highlights how international mobility contributes to the development of IT skills applied in Industry 4.0 through an analysis of specialized laboratory environments. The scientific contribution of this study lies in the identification of the pedagogical mechanisms that bridge the gap between theoretical informatics and industrial cyber-physical systems.Through participant observation and descriptive analysis of the educational infrastructure at CAMPUS 02 University of Applied Sciences, Department Automation Technology the research demonstrates how hands-on experience with industrial robotics (Fanuc, Kuka) and Siemens PLCs fosters technical adaptability and programming logic. The findings suggest that experiential learning in high-tech hubs is critical for the digital transformation of the manufacturing sector, providing a framework for IT-OT integration in higher education.
