Kang et al. (2016) conducted a case report in Nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) with obesity (n=1). Saenggangeonbi-tang, exercise, and regulated diet was evaluated on Liver function tests (AST, ALT, GGT) and body weight/BMI. Treatment with Saenggangeonbi-tang, exercise, and diet regulation for 4 weeks normalized liver enzymes (AST 52 to 14 U/L, ALT 120 to 16 U/L) and reduced BMI in an adolescent with NAFLD.
