Observational analysis reveals lower scale bounds for the Poincaré dodecahedral universe model in low-redshift galaxies, suggesting the topological cosmology remains viable at larger scales.
🇬🇧 Abstract (English) Title: Observational Constraints on the UCT S³/I^* Model: Observability Limits in the Low-Redshift SDSS Survey Abstract (English) Does the non-detection of a rigid geometric signature in the low-redshift galaxy distribution ($z < 0.40$) fundamentally challenge the Topological Crystal Universe (UCT) model based on the Poincaré Dodecahedral Space (S³/I^*)? This paper demonstrates that the absence of alignment signatures within the Sloan Digital Sky Survey (SDSS) catalog does not refute the model, but rather imposes a strict physical constraint on its characteristic scales. By modeling the geometry of S³/I^*, we establish a lower bound for the comoving injection radius rᵢₙⱼ > 1.60 Gpc (1.08 Gpc/h), corresponding to a curvature radius RC > 1.58 Gpc. We show that the volume probed by SDSS covers only $11.5%$ of the comoving radius to the surface of last scattering (z ~ 1100), leaving the window 1.60 Gpc < rᵢₙⱼ ≤ 13.93 Gpc fully open.
