Theoretical analysis reveals emergent gravitational phenomena from microscopic evolution currents across discrete nodes, indicating classical singularities represent continuum breakdowns.
This paper presents the current formulation of Evoltropy Theory (ET), a proposed physical framework in which gravitation, clock-rate variation, light propagation, and the large-scale expansion of space arise from a microscopic Evolution structure rather than from fundamental curvature of an otherwise featureless spacetime continuum. The theory introduces two central dynamical quantities: an Evolution Potential E(x), representing the local state/rate of physical becoming, and an Evolution Current JE(x), representing directed transport of Evolution through the underlying structure. Matter is proposed to interact with this structure through a single microscopic law involving relative Evolution current, thereby providing a common mechanism for free fall, gravitational time dilation, optical propagation, and inertial response. The formulation is deliberately anchored to the Painlev´e–Gullstrand (PG) flowing-space representation of general relativity, but replaces the interpretation of the flow by a microscopic Evolution Current and permits a discrete, granular substrate of invariant nodes. In the weak-field limit the theory is required to reproduce Newtonian gravity; in the relativistic limit it is constructed to recover the Schwarzschild/Painlev´e–Gullstrand metric and therefore the standard leading-order predictions for Mercury’s perihelion advance, gravitational redshift, gravitational lensing, and Shapiro delay. These recovery calculations are presented asconsistency targets of the present theory, not as experimental proof of a new theory. A second objective is singularity avoidance. The underlying structure is postulated to consist of invariant nodes with a nonzero minimum microscopic scale. The Evolution rate is bounded below by a minimum value at physically accessible nodes, while the net Evolution Current of an idealized black-hole interior tends to zero toward the central limiting state.Consequently, the continuum singularity of the classical Schwarzschild solution is interpreted as a breakdown of the continuum approximation rather than a physical point of infinite density and undefined curvature. The paper also proposes a cosmological mechanism in which expansion is represented by the creation of new Evolution nodes in interstitial (subspace) regions. Finally, a route toward quantum field theory is outlined: quantum fields may be treated as excitations of the microscopic Evolution network, with the classical metric appearing as a coarse-grained effective description. The paper is intended to place the central ideas, definitions, equations, derivations, predictions, and falsifiable open problems of Evoltropy Theory into one dated public document so that independent researchers can test, formalize, criticize, or extend theframework.
