Volatile compounds from Coleus aromaticus Benth. leaf were isolated by steam distillation, hexane extraction and supercritical CO2 extraction. The yield obtained from steam distillation was 0.55%, from hexane extraction 6.52%, and by supercritical CO2 extraction 1.40%. The difference in aroma of the extracts was quite noticeable and can be attributed to qualitative and quantitative differences of the components. Twenty-six components were identified by GC/MS, eleven for the first time.
