Stability in implantology and periodontology can be assessed by both subjective and objective means. As the use of subjective measures can be biased, objective means such as the periotest and Ostell have been developed. However, its application in normal clinical therapy is ineffectual due to the absence of dental reference values. The objective of this study was to provide stability values for natural permanent teeth that could serve as benchmarks in periodontics and implantology.
