A 24-year-old woman who had been treated as having progressive diaphyseal dysplasia (Engelmann's disease) was admitted to the hospital for tachycardia and bone pain in the forearms. For the purpose of a bone survey, bone scintigraphy with Tc-99m HMDP was performed. Whole-body scintigraphy showed the characteristic appearance of this disease and the involved regions were well-manifested as areas of increased uptake.
